From downtown Gary, head to the nearest bus stop located at 5th Avenue and Broadway. Catch the Gary Public Transit bus route 10 towards Chicago. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes, and disembark at the South Shore Line station in Hammond. From there, transfer to the South Shore Line train heading towards Chicago. Get off at the 47th Street station. Once you exit the station, walk east for about 10 minutes to reach 4801 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60615.

From the Gary Metro Center, take the South Shore Line train towards Chicago. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the 47th Street station. After exiting the station, walk east for about 10 minutes along 47th Street until you reach 4801 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60615.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike at one of the bike-sharing stations in Gary. Head south on Broadway until you reach the intersection with 47th Avenue. Turn right on 47th Avenue and continue until you reach the South Shore Line tracks. Follow the tracks to the east, which will take you to the 47th Street station in Chicago. From there, bike east on 47th Street for about 10 minutes to reach 4801 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60615.
Walking
