Public Bus
From Gary, head to the nearest bus stop on 5th Ave or Broadway. Take the Gary Public Transit Corporation bus route 3 heading towards the Chicago area. Ride the bus until you reach the South Shore Line station at Gary Metro Center. From there, take the South Shore Line train towards Chicago. Get off at the 57th St. station. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk east towards the Midway Plaisance Park, which is about a 15-minute walk down 57th St. until you reach the park entrance at 1130 Midway Plaisance.

If you're at the Gary Metro Center, take the South Shore Line train towards Chicago. Stay on the train for approximately 40 minutes, and then disembark at the 57th St. station. After exiting, head east on 57th St., and continue until you reach Midway Plaisance Park, located at 1130 Midway Plaisance. This walk will take around 15 minutes.
