Bus
From Gary, take the Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC) bus route 3 from the Gary Metro Center. Get off at the stop at 5th Avenue and Broadway and transfer to the South Shore Line train towards Chicago. Once you arrive at the Millennium Station in Chicago, walk to the nearby 'State/Lake' station and transfer to the Green Line train towards Ashland. Get off at the '54th/Cottage Grove' station. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to The University of Chicago. Head east on 54th Street, then turn left on Ellis Avenue until you reach 5801 S Ellis Ave.

From Gary, take the South Shore Line train from the Gary Metro Center to Millennium Station in Chicago. Once you arrive at Millennium Station, exit the station and walk to the 'State/Lake' station to catch the Green Line train towards Ashland. Get off at the '54th/Cottage Grove' station. From there, walk east along 54th Street, then turn left onto Ellis Avenue. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach The University of Chicago at 5801 S Ellis Ave.
