Public Transit
From downtown Indianapolis, head to the nearest bus stop for the IndyGo bus service. You can catch Bus Route 8 (Washington St) or Bus Route 10 (College Ave). Both routes will take you towards the White River State Park area. If you are at the Indiana State House, walk to the bus stop located at 200 W Washington St. Board the bus and ride until you reach the stop at West Street and Washington St. From there, transfer to Bus Route 1 (Red Line) and continue towards the White River State Park stop. Once you disembark, walk south on West Street, then turn right onto Central White River Trail. McCormick's Rock will be along this trail.

If you are already downtown and prefer to walk, start at the City-County Building located at 200 E Washington St. Head west on Washington St until you reach West Street. Turn right onto West Street and continue walking south. After about half a mile, you will reach the entrance of White River State Park. Enter the park and follow the path south towards Central White River Trail. McCormick's Rock is located along this trail, offering beautiful views of the river.

For those who wish to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-share stations located throughout downtown Indianapolis. Start at the nearest bike station and head west on Washington St towards West Street. Turn right onto West Street and head south.
