Getting There

    From any point in Morgan-Monroe State Forest, head east on State Road 37 towards Bloomington. After approximately 10 miles, merge onto IN-45 N. Continue on IN-45 N for about 8 miles until you reach the junction with I-69 N. Merge onto I-69 N and drive for about 15 miles. Take exit 114 for I-70 W toward Terre Haute. Merge onto I-70 W and continue for about 15 miles. Take exit 83 for West Street toward US-40. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for West Street and merge onto W West St. Continue on W West St for about 1 mile. Turn right onto W Washington St. White River Gardens will be on your left at 1200 W Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46222. Parking may be available nearby for a fee.

    From Morgan-Monroe State Forest, you will need to drive or arrange for a taxi to the nearest bus station in Bloomington. Once there, take the Bloomington Transit Route 1 bus towards the Downtown Transit Center. Transfer to the IndyGo bus Route 8 at the Downtown Transit Center, which goes directly to Indianapolis. The nearest stop to White River Gardens is the Washington St & West St stop.
