    From downtown Richmond, head east on East Main Street towards North 9th Street. Continue on East Main Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with North 10th Street. Turn left onto North 10th Street and walk for another 0.2 miles. You will see the Richmond Indiana Historical Museum on your right. Continue past the museum and follow North 10th Street as it curves into North A Street. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with East 12th Street. Turn right onto East 12th Street and walk towards the Richmond City Park. From the park, head southeast toward the local bus stop at East Main Street.

    From downtown Richmond, walk to the nearest bus stop on East Main Street. Catch the Blue Line bus heading towards the Richmond Mall. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes until you reach the Mechanicsville stop. From there, it will be a short 10-minute walk to Cold Harbor Battlefield Visitor Center. Head east on Anderson-Wright Drive for about 0.5 miles, and you will see the visitor center on your left.
