If you're traveling by car, head towards the city of Kutacane in Southeast Aceh. From Banda Aceh, take the Jalan Medan-Banda Aceh highway (Route 1) heading north. After around 5 hours of driving, you will reach Kutacane. From Kutacane, continue south on the Jalan Lintas Sumatra road for about 30 minutes until you reach Ketambe. Look for signs indicating 'Ketambe' as you approach. The trekking location is easily accessible from the main road.

For those using public transport, you can take a bus from Banda Aceh to Kutacane. Buses leave regularly from the central bus terminal in Banda Aceh. The journey will take approximately 7 to 8 hours and may cost around IDR 150,000 to IDR 200,000. Once in Kutacane, you can find a local minibus or a shared taxi (angkot) that travels to Ketambe.
