Once you reach the intersection near the Aceh River, take the left turn onto Jalan Medan-Banda Aceh. Continue straight for about 90 kilometers until you reach the town of Takengon. Expect the drive to take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic conditions.

  For those using public transportation, head to the Ulee Lheue Bus Terminal in Banda Aceh. Look for a minibus (often referred to as 'angkot') heading to Takengon.
