Bicycle
If you're staying in Ubud, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head north on Jalan Raya Ubud towards Jalan Raya Sanggingan. Continue straight, passing the Campuhan Ridge Walk. After about 6 km, turn left onto Jalan Raya Buleleng. Follow this road for about 12 km until you reach a fork; take the right path towards Sambangan. Keep following the signs to Aling-Aling Waterfall, which is about 5 km from the fork. Expect a scenic ride as you navigate through rice paddies and local villages.
Public Transport (Bemo)
From Ubud, take a Bemo (shared minivan) heading towards Singaraja. You can find them at the Ubud Market or along Jalan Monkey Forest. Inform the driver that you're going to Sambangan, and they will drop you at the nearest junction. The fare is usually around IDR 30,000. Once dropped off, you may need to walk approximately 2 km towards the waterfall. Follow the signs, and ask locals for directions if needed.
Walking
If you're already in the Sambangan area, you can walk to Aling-Aling Waterfall. Start from the village center, and head towards the main path leading into the jungle. The waterfall is approximately a 30-minute walk from the village. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path can be steep and muddy in places. Follow the sound of the water, and you'll be greeted by the stunning sight of the waterfall.
Scooter Rental
Rent a scooter from a rental shop in Ubud or Lovina. Head north on Jalan Raya Buleleng towards Sambangan. Once you reach the village of Sambangan, look for signs directing you to Aling-Aling Waterfall. The road to the waterfall is well-marked, but be cautious of the steep and narrow paths. Parking is available near the entrance to the waterfall area.
