Bicycle
If you are staying in Ubud, you can rent a bicycle and cycle towards Kintamani. Start by heading north on Jl. Raya Ubud and follow the signs to Kintamani. You will pass through beautiful rice paddies and local villages. The ride is approximately 25 kilometers and can take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Kintamani, follow signs towards Danau Batur, which will be about a 10-minute ride downhill from the main road.

Head to the Ubud Central Bus Station, where you can find a bus to Bangli Regency. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you would like to get off at Kintamani. The ride should take about 1.5 hours. After reaching Kintamani, you will need to take a local bemo (small minibus) that goes to Songan B, which is close to Danau Batur. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they are headed to Danau Batur before boarding.

If you are staying close to Danau Batur, you can explore the area by walking. Head towards the lakeside by following local paths that lead from Songan B. It’s a scenic walk, and you can stop to enjoy the views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the trails might be uneven and steep in some areas.

Motorbike Rental
For more freedom, you can rent a motorbike in Ubud. Head north on Jl. Raya Ubud towards Kintamani. The ride is about 25 kilometers and takes roughly 45 minutes. Once you reach Kintamani, follow the signs to Songan B. Parking is available near Danau Batur, where you can enjoy the scenic views and relax by the lake.
