From Ubud, take a public bus from Ubud Central Station to Bangli. The bus will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive at Bangli bus station, ask locals for directions to Kintamani. It is about a 30-minute walk or you can hire a local ojek (motorbike taxi) from the bus station to Kintamani. Once in Kintamani, follow signs to the Natural Hot Springs and Coffee Plantation area, which is near the base of Mount Batur.

If you're in Ubud, you can rent a bicycle and cycle to Mount Batur. Start by heading north on Jalan Raya Ubud and follow the signs towards Kintamani. The ride will take about 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Be prepared for some uphill stretches. Once you reach Kintamani, look for local guides near the Natural Hot Springs and Coffee Plantation area, which is the meeting point for the sunrise trek.
