Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From Ubud, head to the Ubud Central Bus Station. Take a bus to Bangli. The bus ride takes about 1 hour. Once you're in Bangli, you can take a local 'bemo' (shared minivan) heading towards Kintamani. Tell the driver you're going to Mount Batur; they should know the way. The bemo ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at Central Batur where the trekking starts.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle in Ubud and ride towards Kintamani. The route is approximately 30 km and will take you through beautiful rice fields and local villages. Follow the signs to Kintamani and enjoy the scenic views. Once you reach Central Batur, park your bicycle in a safe spot before starting the trek.

  • Motorbike

    Rent a motorbike in Ubud and head towards Kintamani. Follow the main road (Jalan Raya Ubud) until you reach the junction for Kintamani.
