Getting there

Bicycle

If you're staying in Candidasa, you can rent a bicycle and ride towards Tenganan. Start from Candidasa and head east on Jalan Raya Candidasa. Continue straight for about 7 kilometers until you reach Manggis. Look for signs leading to Tenganan, which is a small turn-off on your right. Follow the road uphill until you arrive at the entrance of Tenganan.

Public Transport (Bemo)

From Candidasa, you can catch a bemo (local minibus) that goes towards Karangasem. Find the bemo station near the main street in Candidasa. Board a bemo heading to Amlapura and tell the driver you want to go to Tenganan. The driver will drop you off at the entrance to Tenganan, which is about a 20-minute ride.

Walking

If you're feeling adventurous and are staying nearby, you can walk to Tenganan from the surrounding area. From Candidasa, head east along the main road (Jalan Raya Candidasa) towards Manggis. It will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours on foot. Make sure to stay hydrated and use sunscreen, as the sun can be quite intense.
