From your location in Bali, head to the nearest bus station. Look for the 'Bali Trans' buses (or similar public bus service) that run towards Tabanan. Make sure to get a bus that stops at Tabanan town. Once you arrive in Tabanan, exit the bus and ask for directions to Tanah Lot. It is approximately 30 minutes away on foot or you can take a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) to cover the remaining distance.
Bicycle Rental
If you’re feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle from a local shop in your area. Follow the main roads heading towards Beraban, Kediri. You’ll travel through scenic rice fields and small villages. Once you reach Beraban, follow the signs to Tanah Lot. The total distance is about 15 kilometers, and it should take around 1-2 hours depending on your cycling speed. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay hydrated along the way.
Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service
For a more comfortable and direct option, you can use a taxi or a ride-hailing service like Gojek or Grab. Open the app, set your destination to Tanah Lot, and confirm the ride. Provide the driver with the address: Beraban, Kediri, Tabanan Regency, Bali 82121. The ride will take around 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.
Walking
If you are staying nearby, you can also walk to Tanah Lot. From your accommodation, head towards the main road leading to Tabanan. Follow the signs directing you to Tanah Lot. It is a scenic walk, but make sure to wear suitable footwear and carry water. The journey may take several hours, so start early in the day.
