Bicycle
If you're near Ubud, you can rent a bicycle and head east on Jl. Raya Ubud towards Jl. Raya Tegallalang. Continue on this road until you reach Jl. Raya Kintamani, where you will turn left. Follow this road through the beautiful countryside until you reach Jl. Raya Amlapura. Turn right and continue straight until you see the signs for Kusamba Traditional Salt Mining on your left at No. 16, Jl. Raya Tengading.
Public Bus
From Ubud, take the 'Bemo' (local minivan) to Amlapura, which should be available from the Ubud market area. The journey will take around 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Amlapura, ask the driver to drop you off at Jl. Raya Tengading. Walk about 500 meters east on Jl. Raya Tengading, and you will find Kusamba Traditional Salt Mining at No. 16.
Walking
If you're staying in the nearby area of Manggis, you can walk to Kusamba Traditional Salt Mining. Start at the main road in Manggis and head south towards Jl. Raya Tengading. Once you reach Jl. Raya Tengading, turn left and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will find the salt mining site on your right at No. 16.
Motorbike Taxi (GoJek/Grab)
Open the GoJek or Grab app on your smartphone and request a motorbike taxi. Enter 'Kusamba Traditional Salt Mining' or use the address 'No., Jl. Raya Tengading Amlapura No.16, Antiga Kelod, Manggis' for your destination. The driver will pick you up from your location and take you directly to the site, which should take around 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.
