Walking
If you are starting from Balikpapan Plaza, head southeast on Jl. Jenderal Sudirman. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see Merdeka Field on your right, just after you pass the intersection with Jl. S Parman.

From the Grand Jatra Hotel, exit the hotel and turn left onto Jl. Jenderal Sudirman. Walk about 600 meters until you reach a small roundabout. Take the first exit to stay on Jl. Jenderal Sudirman, and after about 400 meters, Merdeka Field will be on your left.

Public Transport (Bus or Angkot)
Locate the nearest bus stop for public transport along Jl. Jenderal Sudirman. Board an angkot heading towards Balikpapan City Center. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at Merdeka Field. The ride should take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic. Exit the angkot and walk a few meters to reach the field.

If you are near the Balikpapan State University, start by heading south on Jl. Yos Sudarso. After approximately 1 kilometer, take a right turn onto Jl. Jenderal Sudirman. Continue walking for about 500 meters, and you will find Merdeka Field on your right.
