Car
If you have access to a car while in Banda Islands, start your journey from the main town of Banda Neira. Head northwest on the main road towards Merdeka. After about 15 minutes of driving, keep an eye out for signs directing you to Lautaka Beach. Follow the signs and navigate towards the coordinates FVWW+C46 in your GPS. The beach is located near the coastline, and you should be able to park nearby.
Public Transportation
For those opting for public transportation, take a local bus or shared minivan from Banda Neira to Merdeka. This should take around 30 minutes and cost approximately IDR 10,000. Once you arrive in Merdeka, ask locals for directions to Lautaka Beach (FVWW+C46) as they will be familiar with the area. It’s a short walk from the bus stop to the beach.
Walking
If you are staying in Merdeka, you can easily walk to Lautaka Beach. From your accommodation, head towards the main road and follow it towards the coastline. It should take you about 20 minutes on foot. Make sure to enjoy the local scenery along the way.
