Getting There

  • Car

    From Bukit Lawang, head south on Jl. Lintas Sumatera towards Langkat. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for Tangkahan. Look for signs indicating 'Tangkahan' and turn left. Follow this road until you reach the entrance of Tangkahan The Hidden Paradise. There may be a small parking fee, so be prepared for that as well.

  • Public Transport (Minibus)

    From Bukit Lawang, take a minibus heading towards Medan. Inform the driver you need to stop at Tangkahan. The journey will take about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Tangkahan junction, you may need to walk or hire a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) to take you the remaining distance to Tangkahan The Hidden Paradise. The ojek fare is usually around IDR 20,000 to IDR 30,000.

  • Walking (from the Tangkahan junction)

    If you prefer to walk from the Tangkahan junction, head east on the road for about 3 kilometers. You will pass through beautiful natural scenery. Follow the signs and ask locals if you need further directions. The walk can take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on your pace.
