Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Biak, the closest major town. Head northwest on Jl. Raya Biak towards Jl. Yos Sudarso. Continue on Jl. Yos Sudarso for about 12 km until you reach the intersection with Jl. Trans Papua. Turn right onto Jl. Trans Papua and drive for approximately 25 km. You will see signs directing you to Wafsarak Waterfall. The final stretch will require you to take a dirt road that leads directly to the waterfall. Be prepared for rugged terrain and ensure your vehicle is suitable for off-road conditions.
Public Transportation
To reach Wafsarak Waterfall via public transportation, take a minibus or shared taxi from Biak to Warsa. These often leave from the central bus station in Biak. The journey to Warsa may take about 1 to 2 hours depending on road conditions. Once you arrive in Warsa, you will need to hire a local motorcycle taxi (ojek) or arrange for a local guide with a vehicle to take you the remaining 10 km to the waterfall. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which might cost around IDR 50,000 to IDR 100,000 depending on your negotiation skills and the driver.
Hiking
If you are adventurous and would like to hike to Wafsarak Waterfall, you can start from the nearest village, which is approximately 5 km away from the waterfall. From Warsa, you can hire a local guide who knows the hiking trails. The hike may take about 1 to 2 hours. It is recommended to wear sturdy hiking boots and carry enough water and snacks, as there are no facilities along the way.
