Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Palu, the capital of Central Sulawesi. Drive on Jl. Trans Sulawesi heading north towards Donggala. After about 30 km, take the exit towards Balaesang Tanjung. Continue driving for another 10 km until you reach the town of Manimbaya. Upon reaching Manimbaya, look for local signs directing you to Bulu Salubasal, which is in the nearby mountainous area. Parking may be available at the base of the mountain.
Public Transportation
From Palu, you can catch a minibus or public transport to Donggala. These minibuses depart frequently from the main bus terminal in Palu. The fare is usually around IDR 20,000 to IDR 30,000. Once you reach Donggala, you will need to arrange for a local transport service (ojek or motorcycle taxi) to take you to Manimbaya. The motorcycle taxi fare to Manimbaya is approximately IDR 15,000 to IDR 25,000. From Manimbaya, follow local directions to reach Bulu Salubasal, which is a short hike from the area.
Hiking
Once you reach Manimbaya, Bulu Salubasal is accessible via a hiking trail. Ensure you have appropriate footwear and supplies. The hike should take approximately 1-2 hours depending on your pace.
