Car
If you are renting a car, start your journey from Palu, the capital of Central Sulawesi. Head west on the Trans-Sulawesi highway (Route 1) for approximately 60 kilometers until you reach the junction to Donggala. Turn left onto Route 7 and continue for another 30 kilometers. Look for signs to Batusuya and follow local roads towards Batusuya, Sindue Tombusabora. The total drive time is about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on road conditions.
Public Bus
Take a public bus from Palu to Donggala. Buses depart frequently from the Palu bus terminal and the fare is typically around 30,000 IDR. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Donggala, you can hire a local taxi or ojek (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Batusuya, which is about 20 kilometers away. This ride may cost around 50,000 to 100,000 IDR depending on your negotiation skills.
Motorbike
For a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike in Palu. Following the same route as by car, head west on the Trans-Sulawesi highway (Route 1) for about 60 kilometers, then turn onto Route 7 towards Donggala. The total journey will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Ensure you have a valid motorcycle license and wear a helmet. Fuel costs will vary, but budget around 50,000 IDR for the trip.
