A well managed, amazing trip

Had an amazing & fun trip with friends with Yukbanyuwangi, from the staff to the driver are so accommodating. This is our first time using a vendor trip when traveling, but they are so kind to adjust a bit our itinerary based on our needs. Manage to get the most of it in Banyuwangi, from getting sunset in a Savana trip, Djawatan forest, beaches & snorkeling, until Ijen trip. Definitely recommended!

Inconsistent communication but great experience

This is an amazing experience regardless of whether you’re lucky enough to see the blue fire. Blue for visibility depends on volcanic activity and sometimes that makes it impossible to see. Either way the views from the top of Ijen crater are amazing and worth the trip even without the blue fire. Only issue is communication from tour operator was inconsistent. They did not mention until I asked that we need to provide a scan of our passport and have a medical exam that’s done by someone at the beginning of the tour. They also said meet at 12:30 at the Banyuwangi train station. I stayed right across the street from the station so didn’t wake up until 12:10-12:15 and when I did my phone was full of messages asking where I was. I did eventually get picked up but it was on a scooter without a helmet which is obviously very dangerous. After that though all went smoothly. I’d still recommend this trip although perhaps with a different operator. The reason I booked with this is they were the only ones that allow solo bookings (everywhere else was 2 minimum).
