Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving, start by heading towards the city of Balikpapan. Follow the signs for Jalan Balikpapan - Handil. Continue on this road, and you'll pass several small towns along the way. After approximately 40 km, look for signage indicating Samboja. The lodge is located at Jalan Balikpapan - Handil No.Km. 44, Margomulyo, Samboja. There is parking available at the lodge.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    To reach Samboja Lodge via public transportation, take a bus from Balikpapan to Samboja. Buses leave regularly from the main bus terminal in Balikpapan. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Samboja. The ride will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Samboja, you may need to take a local taxi or motorcycle taxi (ojek) to reach the lodge, which is about 5 km from the bus stop. Expect to pay around IDR 20,000-30,000 for the taxi ride.
