Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head towards Labuan Bajo from the direction of Ruteng or Bajawa. From Ruteng, take the Trans Flores Highway (Jl. Trans Flores) heading west. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of rice fields and mountains. Once you reach Labuan Bajo, follow the signs to the port area. The port is located at GV7H+XHP, Labuan Bajo. There is no parking fee at the port, but be cautious of where you park as some areas may have restrictions.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Labuan Bajo via public transportation, take a bus from major towns like Ruteng or Bajawa. Buses leave regularly from the main bus terminal. The journey takes approximately 4-6 hours. Make sure to confirm the bus route with the driver, as some may not go directly to the port. When you arrive in Labuan Bajo, you will be dropped off at a central bus station. From there, you can take a motorcycle taxi (ojek) or a local taxi to the port. The fare for the motorcycle taxi to the port typically costs around IDR 10,000 - 20,000.

  If you're already in Labuan Bajo and need to get to the port, you can easily hire a motorcycle taxi (ojek) from anywhere in the town. Just use a local app like Gojek or flag one down on the street. The fare to the port from most locations in Labuan Bajo should be between IDR 10,000 to IDR 20,000. The ride will take approximately 5-10 minutes depending on traffic.

• Walking

  If you are staying close to the town center in Labuan Bajo, the port is within walking distance. From the main square, head towards the beach area. Follow the road that leads you along the coast towards the port. It should take you about 15-20 minutes to walk to Labuan Bajo port. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the weather can be quite hot.
