    To reach the Eye of Papua, start from Jayapura, the capital of Papua. Drive southeast on Jalan Raya Jayapura - Sentani towards Sentani Airport. Continue on this road for about 30 km until you reach the junction to Puncak Jaya. Turn left and follow the signs towards Pegunungan Bintang Regency. The drive may take approximately 3-4 hours. Once you reach Pipal, navigate to the coordinates (Latitude: -4.2668512, Longitude: 140.7334632) to find the Eye of Papua. Be aware that the roads can be challenging, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended.

  • Public Transportation

    From Jayapura, take a public bus or minivan (angkot) headed for Sentani. Once in Sentani, transfer to a bus heading towards Puncak Jaya. Inform the driver of your destination, Pipal, Aboy, as they may not have a set route. The bus ride can take around 5-6 hours, and you should expect to pay around IDR 100,000 to IDR 150,000 for the fare. Once you arrive in Pipal, you can either walk or hire a local motorcycle taxi (ojek) to take you directly to the Eye of Papua located at the coordinates (Latitude: -4.2668512, Longitude: 140.7334632).
