Getting There

  For those coming from Jakarta or Surabaya, taking a train is a reliable option. Board a train to Yogyakarta from either the Gambir Station (Jakarta) or Surabaya Gubeng Station. Once you arrive at Yogyakarta Train Station, you can either walk (around 30 minutes) or take a local taxi or ride-sharing service to Malioboro Street.   Trans Jogja is a bus rapid transit system that connects various points in Yogyakarta. If you're already in Yogyakarta, you can take Trans Jogja bus routes 1A or 1B, which directly stop at Malioboro. The fare is very affordable at IDR 3,500 per trip.

• Motorcycle Taxi (Ojek)

  If you prefer a quicker option, consider using a motorcycle taxi service like Gojek or Grab. Simply download the app, enter your pickup location and destination (Malioboro), and the fare will be calculated automatically. Expect to pay around IDR 10,000 to IDR 20,000 for a ride.
