If you have a rental car, start by navigating to Waai in Salahutu, Central Maluku Regency. Use the coordinates to find the Giant eel Morea: Latitude -3.5648206, Longitude 128.3188058. From Ambon City, head east along Jl. Lintas Ambon – Masohi road for approximately 45 km. Look for signs indicating Waai. Once you reach Waai, follow local signage to the Giant eel Morea site. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel as gas stations might be sparse in rural areas.

Public Transportation (Minibus)
From Ambon City, you can take a minibus (angkot) heading to Salahutu. These minibuses depart from the central bus terminal in Ambon. The fare is typically around IDR 15,000-20,000. Inform the driver that you want to go to Waai. Once you arrive in Waai, you may need to walk or hire a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) for the last stretch towards the Giant eel Morea, which is about 5 km away. The ojek fare should be around IDR 10,000-15,000.

For those who are already in Waai, you can walk to the Giant eel Morea. From the center of Waai, head south towards the coast and follow the signs. The walk is approximately 30 minutes (around 2.5 km), so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated, especially in the warm weather.
