Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the city of Tual, which is the closest larger city to Ngurbloat Beach. Head southeast on Jalan Raya Tual. After about 15 km, you will reach the turnoff for Ngurbloat Beach. Follow the signs towards Ngurbloat Beach, located in the Southeast Maluku Regency. The drive takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Make sure to have a map or GPS device, as some local road signs may not be in English.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, first take a minibus from Tual to Ngurbloat Beach. The minibuses (often referred to as 'angkot') frequently run this route. You can find them near the main bus terminal in Tual. The fare is usually around IDR 10,000-15,000 (approximately $1-1.50). The journey takes about 45 minutes. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Ngurbloat Beach, as the minibuses may not have designated stops.
Motorcycle Taxi
If you're in Tual and prefer a quicker option, consider using a motorcycle taxi (ojek). You can hire one to take you directly to Ngurbloat Beach. Negotiate the fare beforehand; it typically costs around IDR 30,000-50,000 (approximately $2-3.50) for a one-way trip. The ride is about 30 minutes. This option is flexible and can take you directly to the beach entrance.
