Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the city center of Manado, head towards the main street, Jl. Sam Ratulangi. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Jl. Diponegoro. Turn right onto Jl. Diponegoro and keep walking until you see the large roundabout. At the roundabout, continue straight onto Jl. Pahlawan. Monumen Lilin will be located on your left side after approximately 1 km. Look for the distinctive monument and take a few steps towards it to fully appreciate its significance.

Public Transport - Angkot
From the city center, locate the nearest angkot (public minibus) stop. Take an angkot heading towards Manado's markets or the Mega Mall route. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Jl. Pahlawan. Once you get off, head towards Jl. Pahlawan and walk approximately 500 meters. Monumen Lilin will be on your right side. Make sure to have small change ready for the fare.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Manado. Start your ride from the city center, heading towards Jl. Sam Ratulangi. Continue straight and turn right onto Jl.
