If you are in the city center of Medan, you can start your journey to Istana Maimun by heading east along Jl. Diponegoro. Walk for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Jl. Brigjend Katamso. Turn left onto Jl. Brigjend Katamso and continue walking for another 500 meters. You will see Istana Maimun on your right side at Jl. Brigjend Katamso No.370.
