If you are in Medan city center, start at Merdeka Square (Alun-Alun Medan). From the square, head northwest on Jalan Balai Kota towards Jalan Sisingamangaraja. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Jalan Dr. Mansyur. Turn right onto Jalan Dr. Mansyur and walk for another 500 meters. You will cross a bridge over the railway tracks. After crossing, continue straight until you reach a T-junction. At the T-junction, turn left onto Jalan Glugur Kota, and continue for about 1 kilometer. Museum Buka Tutup will be on your left, at the address JM7C+CMM, Glugur Kota, Medan Barat.
