If you are driving from the city of Berau, take Jl. Yos Sudarso heading east. Continue on this road for approximately 20 km until you reach the junction with Jl. Raya Batu Putih. Turn left onto Jl. Raya Batu Putih and drive for another 15 km. Follow the signs towards Ampen Medang. The last stretch will be a smaller road leading directly to Manimbora Beach, which is approximately 5 km away from the main road. Make sure to have a map or GPS enabled as the roads can be less marked in rural areas.
Public Transportation
Start your journey from Berau by taking a local bus heading towards Batu Putih. The bus fare is approximately IDR 30,000. Once you arrive at the Batu Putih terminal, you will need to take an ojek (motorcycle taxi) to cover the last leg of the journey to Manimbora Beach. The ojek ride will cost around IDR 20,000 and takes about 15-20 minutes. Ensure to confirm the fare before starting the ride.
Taxi
For a more direct and comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from Berau. The taxi fare to Manimbora Beach will range from IDR 200,000 to IDR 250,000 depending on negotiation. Make sure to agree on the price before starting the journey. The drive will take around 45 minutes, and you can enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding landscapes.
