The journey by car or taxi will take approximately 30 minutes to reach the harbor where you will catch a boat to Arborek. Ensure you have arranged for a taxi in advance or use local ride-hailing services if available. The cost for a taxi ride from Waisai to the harbor typically ranges from IDR 150,000 to IDR 250,000 depending on the driver and negotiation.
Public Transport (Local Boat)
Once at the harbor, purchase a ticket for a local boat heading to Arborek Island. Boats usually depart several times a day, but it is advisable to check the schedule in advance. The boat ride takes about 30-45 minutes. The fare is generally around IDR 50,000 to IDR 100,000 per person. Be sure to arrive at the harbor a little early to ensure you secure your spot on the boat.
Walking
Upon arrival at Arborek Island, you may need to walk a short distance to reach Arborek Dive Shop. The island is small, and signage is available.
