If you are starting your journey from the main city in Riau Islands, Tanjung Pinang, you will first need to drive to the nearest airport, which is the Natuna Airport (NTX). The drive typically takes around 1 hour, covering approximately 55 km. From Tanjung Pinang, take the Jl. Raya Bintan road heading north towards the airport. Once you reach the airport, you may need to book a flight to Ranai, Natuna. Flight duration is about 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival at Ranai Airport, you can take a taxi or rent a car to reach Batu Sindu. The distance from Ranai Airport to Batu Sindu is about 10 km and should take around 15-20 minutes by car. Follow the signs towards Ranai Kota and then use the GPS coordinates (3.9666829, 108.4017026) to navigate directly to Batu Sindu.
Public Transportation
Start your journey in Tanjung Pinang by taking a bus or minivan to Natuna. Buses to Natuna typically depart from the main bus terminal in Tanjung Pinang. The journey will take about 2-3 hours, so make sure to check the schedule in advance. Once you arrive in Natuna, head to Natuna Airport (NTX) and take a domestic flight to Ranai. After landing at Ranai Airport, you can either take a local taxi or a motorbike taxi (ojek) to Batu Sindu, which is about 10 km away. Ensure you have cash for the taxi fare, which should be around IDR 50,000-100,000 depending on negotiation.
