If you are driving from Tanjung Pinang, take Jl. Yos Sudarso and head southeast towards Jl. Raya Dompak. Continue on Jl. Raya Dompak until you reach the junction with Jl. Bintan. Turn right onto Jl. Bintan and follow the signs towards Bintan Pesisir. The drive will take approximately 1 hour and cover around 40 kilometers. Once you reach Bintan Pesisir, look for signs directing you to Kelong, where you will need to park your car.
Public Transportation
From Tanjung Pinang, you can take a public bus heading to Bintan Regency. The bus station is located near the city center. Ensure that you board a bus that stops at Bintan Pesisir, which may cost around IDR 20,000 (about $1.50). The bus ride takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival at Bintan Pesisir, you will need to take a local taxi or ride-sharing service to reach Kelong. This might cost you another IDR 50,000 (around $3.50).
Boat
Once you are in Kelong, you will need to arrange for a boat to Pulau Cepedak, as it is an island. Local fishermen or tour operators can provide this service. Expect to pay around IDR 200,000 to IDR 300,000 (approximately $14 to $21) for a round trip, depending on the number of passengers and negotiating terms. The boat ride will take about 15-20 minutes.
