  If you are driving from the center of Riau, you will first need to reach the Batam ferry terminal. Take the road heading to the ferry port, which is well signposted. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket to Batam. The ferry ride takes approximately 45 minutes and tickets can cost around IDR 200,000 to IDR 300,000 depending on the ferry operator. After arriving in Batam, follow Jalan Diponegoro until you reach the intersection with Jalan Raden Intan. Turn left and continue straight until you reach Teluk Tering, where the Welcome to Batam Sign is located.

  Starting from Riau, take a bus to the nearest ferry terminal, which is likely the Batam Center terminal. Once you arrive, walk to the ticket counter to purchase a ferry ticket to Batam. The ferry costs approximately IDR 200,000 to IDR 300,000 and takes about 45 minutes. After you arrive at Batam, you can take a local bus or a taxi to Teluk Tering. If you choose a local bus, make sure to ask the driver if they stop at the area near the Welcome to Batam Sign, as routes can vary. After the ferry ride, you can take another taxi from the Batam ferry terminal directly to the Welcome to Batam Sign in Teluk Tering. This will likely cost around IDR 50,000 to IDR 70,000.
