Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Pekanbaru, the capital of Riau. Head north on Jalan Lintas Sumatera (Trans-Sumatra Road) towards Kuantan Singingi Regency. Continue driving for about 4-5 hours, which is approximately 200 km. Once you reach the town of Kuantan, look for signs directing you to Hulu Kuantan. After entering Hulu Kuantan, follow the local signs or GPS directions to Lubuk Ambacang. The waterfall is located at '98MC+2X, Lubuk Ambacang, Hulu Kuantan'. Parking is available near the entrance.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  For those opting for public transportation, take a bus from Pekanbaru to Kuantan Singingi. Buses depart frequently from the Pekanbaru bus terminal. The journey will take about 5-6 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you arrive at the Kuantan Singingi bus terminal, you can hire a local taxi or 'ojek' (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Lubuk Ambacang. Make sure to communicate your destination clearly to the driver. The taxi fare should range between IDR 50,000 to IDR 100,000.

• Motorcycle Taxi (Ojek)

  After arriving in Kuantan Singingi, if you prefer a quicker ride, consider using an 'ojek' to reach the waterfall. You can find motorcycle taxis available near the bus terminal. Negotiate the fare beforehand. It should cost around IDR 50,000 to IDR 100,000 for the ride to Lubuk Ambacang, which is about 30-45 minutes away.

• Walking

  From the parking area or where the ojek drops you off, be prepared for a short hike to reach Air Terjun Tujuh Tingkat. The trail is well-marked, but it may involve some steep paths and natural terrain. Wear comfortable shoes and be cautious as you navigate through the lush surroundings. The hike will take approximately 15-30 minutes, depending on your pace.
