Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Pekanbaru, the capital of Riau. Head northwest on Jl. Soekarno-Hatta towards Jl. Yos Sudarso. Take the exit towards Jl. Riau and continue straight until you reach Jl. Lintas Sumatera. Follow Jl. Lintas Sumatera, passing through towns like Bangkinang and Kampar. Keep driving until you reach the intersection for Rokan Hilir Regency. Follow the signs towards Kubu and Sungai Majo. Once you approach Sungai Majo, look for XMPC+8HM on your GPS or maps application to find PNE-1. The drive will take approximately 4-5 hours depending on traffic conditions. Make sure to fill up on fuel before leaving Pekanbaru, as gas stations can be sparse along the route.

• Public Transportation

  To reach PNE-1 via public transportation, take a bus from Pekanbaru to Rokan Hilir. Buses are available at the main bus terminal in Pekanbaru, known as Terminal Kuliner. Look for buses heading to Rokan Hilir or specifically to Kubu. The bus fare is around IDR 80,000 to IDR 100,000. The journey takes about 6-7 hours. Once you arrive at Kubu, you can take a local taxi or an ojek (motorcycle taxi) to reach the exact location of PNE-1 at XMPC+8HM, Sungai Majo. The taxi or ojek ride will cost approximately IDR 30,000 to IDR 50,000.

• Combination (Car & Ojek)

  If you have access to a car but do not want to drive the entire way, consider driving to a nearby town such as Kubu and then using an ojek to reach PNE-1. You can park your car safely in Kubu and hire an ojek for the final leg of the trip. This will allow you to enjoy the scenic route without the stress of long-distance driving. The ojek ride from Kubu to PNE-1 will cost around IDR 30,000 to IDR 50,000.
