Getting There

• Public Bus

  Take the Trans Semarang bus route that goes towards the city center. Board the bus at the nearest station. If you are near the Simpang Lima area, look for the bus stop labeled 'Trans Semarang.' Make sure to check the bus map to get on the right line. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at 'Pahlawan.' From there, transfer to a local angkot (minibus) that goes towards Bongsari. Inform the driver you want to stop at Sam Poo Kong. The journey may take about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.

• Angkot (Minibus)

  If you are closer to the central part of Semarang, look for angkot routes that go to Bongsari. You can catch an angkot from various points in the city center. Make sure to ask the driver which route goes to Bongsari. Once on the angkot, keep an eye out for landmarks, and ask the driver to drop you off at Sam Poo Kong. The ride should take about 20-30 minutes.

• Walking

  If you are already in the Bongsari area, you can walk to Sam Poo Kong. Start by heading towards Jalan Pahlawan. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection at Jalan Jendral Ahmad Yani. Turn left onto Jalan Jendral Ahmad Yani, and then continue walking for about 10 minutes. You will see signs directing you to Sam Poo Kong, which will be on your right side. The entire walk should take around 20 minutes.
