Public Bus
If you're starting from the Semarang Poncol Station, head to the nearby bus stop for the 01 or 02 buses. These buses will take you towards the city center. Get off at the stop near Tugu Muda, which is a well-known landmark. From Tugu Muda, walk east along Jalan Pemuda for about 10 minutes until you reach Lawang Sewu, located at Jl. Pemuda No.160.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the bike rental shops in Semarang. Start from the city center and head towards Jalan Pemuda. Follow this road straight for about 2 kilometers. Lawang Sewu will be on your left side, identifiable by its distinctive architecture.
Walking
If you're near the Semarang Town Square (Taman Banyumanik), you can walk to Lawang Sewu. Head north on Jalan Jendral Sudirman, then turn right onto Jalan Pemuda. Continue straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers, and you will find Lawang Sewu on your left at Jl. Pemuda No.160.
Ride-hailing Service (e.g., Gojek or Grab)
Open your ride-hailing app and input 'Lawang Sewu' or the address 'Jl. Pemuda No.160, Sekayu, Kec. Semarang Tengah'. Choose the option for a motorcycle or car, and your driver will take you directly to the location. This is one of the most convenient options for tourists.
