If you are starting from the iconic Lawang Sewu building, head southwest on Jalan Pemuda. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Jalan Veteran. Turn right onto Jalan Veteran and walk for about 300 meters. You will see the entrance to Old Town Semarang on your left. Continue walking for another 500 meters through the historical district until you find Rumah Akar Kota Lama Semarang, located at Purwodinatan, Semarang Tengah.
