If you are driving from the city of Palembang, take the Jalan Jendral Sudirman road heading south towards Lahat. This journey will take approximately 5-6 hours covering around 300 kilometers. Once you reach Lahat, follow the signs towards Gumay Ulu. Continue on Trans SP II Padang Muara Dua and look for the signs directing you to Waterfall Curup Maung. Once you arrive at the approximate coordinates of 296R+3X9, you will find parking available near the waterfall entrance.

Public Transportation
To reach Waterfall Curup Maung via public transportation, start from Palembang and take a bus to Lahat. Buses leave frequently from the Terminal Alang-Alang Lebar. The bus ride will take about 5-6 hours and costs around IDR 70,000 to IDR 100,000. Upon arriving in Lahat, you can take an ojek (motorbike taxi) or a local minibus to Gumay Ulu. The ride should cost you about IDR 20,000 to IDR 30,000. Once in Gumay Ulu, ask locals for directions to the waterfall, as it is a popular spot.
