If you're traveling by car, start from Jayapura, the capital of Papua Province. Head southwest on Jalan Raya Abepura for about 30 km until you reach Sentani. From Sentani, take the Trans Papua Highway (Jalan Trans Papua) heading west. Continue for approximately 180 km, passing through towns like Nimboran and Waris. Keep in mind that some sections of the road may be unpaved, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended. After around 180 km, you will reach the coastal town of Manokwari, where you can find boat services to various locations in New Guinea.

For those using public transportation, take a minibus from Jayapura to Sentani. The fare is around IDR 30,000. Once in Sentani, you can catch a bus heading to Manokwari.
