Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the city of Kendari, the capital of Southeast Sulawesi. Head west on Jl. Jend. Sudirman towards Jl. HA. Abdulrahman Saleh. Continue for about 20 km until you reach the junction of Jl. Trans Sulawesi. Take the exit toward Makassar and continue on this road for approximately 350 km. You will pass through several towns such as Pomalaa and Kolaka. Once you reach Makassar, follow the signs to the city center and then head south towards Losari Beach, which is located directly along the coastline. There may be parking fees, which typically range from IDR 5,000 to IDR 10,000.
Public Transportation - Bus
To reach Losari Beach via public transportation, take a bus from Kendari to Makassar. Buses leave frequently from the main bus terminal in Kendari (Terminal Baruga). The journey usually takes about 8-10 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Upon arrival at the Makassar bus terminal, you can take a local minibus or taxi to Losari Beach. The fare for the minibus is around IDR 5,000 to IDR 10,000, while a taxi ride may cost between IDR 50,000 to IDR 100,000.
Public Transportation - Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route and are in proximity to the airport or a hotel, you can book a taxi directly to Losari Beach. Taxis from the airport or central Makassar typically take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Expect to pay between IDR 100,000 to IDR 150,000 for this trip.
