From Surabaya, head to the Purabaya Bus Terminal (Terminal Bungurasih). You can take a local bus or a taxi to reach the terminal. Once there, purchase a ticket to Trawas, Mojokerto. Buses to Trawas usually depart regularly throughout the day. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Upon arriving at Trawas, ask the bus driver or conductor to drop you off at the nearest stop to Candi Jolotundo, as it is a popular destination. From the drop-off point, you can either walk for about 1-2 kilometers or hire a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) to take you directly to the temple.

Train and Ojek
Take the train from Surabaya Gubeng Station to Mojokerto Station. Ensure to check the train schedule beforehand and purchase your tickets. The train ride takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Mojokerto Station, you can hire an ojek (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Candi Jolotundo, which is about 30 kilometers away and takes around 40 minutes. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your ride.

You can also look for shared car or minivan services heading towards Trawas from various points in Surabaya. These can often be found at major transit areas or through ride-sharing apps. Once you are in a shared vehicle, inform the driver of your destination, Candi Jolotundo. The ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Upon arrival in Trawas, you may need to walk or take a local ojek for the final leg of your journey to the temple.
