Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Surabaya, the capital city of East Java. Take the Jl. Ahmad Yani road towards the East and merge onto the Surabaya-Mojokerto Toll Road (Toll Road No. 2). Continue driving for about 60 km until you reach the Mojokerto exit. After exiting the toll, follow the signs towards Mojokerto City. Once in the city, head towards Jl. Raya Mojokerto - Jombang (National Road No. 1) and continue until you reach the intersection near Ngoro. From there, take the road towards Watesnegoro and follow the local signs to Ranu Manduro, which is about 10 km further. Be prepared for some local traffic and road conditions. Ensure to check for any toll fees on the Surabaya-Mojokerto Toll Road, which may cost around IDR 30,000 - IDR 50,000 depending on the vehicle.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transport, start from Surabaya's Bungurasih Bus Terminal. Look for buses heading towards Mojokerto, which are frequent and cost around IDR 20,000 - IDR 30,000 for the ticket. The journey takes about 1-2 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Mojokerto Bus Station, you can take a local minibus (angkot) or motorcycle taxi (ojek) towards Ngoro. The minibus fare will typically be around IDR 10,000 - IDR 15,000. Ask the driver to drop you off at Watesnegoro, from where Ranu Manduro is a short distance away. You may need to walk or hire a local ojek to cover the last few kilometers to reach the lake.

• Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider using a taxi or ride-hailing service like Gojek or Grab. You can book a ride from Surabaya directly to Ranu Manduro. This option is more convenient but will be more expensive, costing approximately IDR 200,000 - IDR 300,000 depending on traffic conditions. The driver will take you directly to the lake, and you won’t have to deal with transfers or local transport.
