Walking
If you are in Kenjeran, you can reach Benteng Suramadu by walking towards the coastline. Head south along the road until you reach the main road, Jalan Raya Kenjeran. Turn left onto Jalan Raya Kenjeran and continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Kedung Cowek, which is where Benteng Suramadu is located. After you cross a small bridge, you will see the entrance to the fortress on your right. The walk should take approximately 20-25 minutes.
Bicycle
For those who prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from local vendors in Kenjeran. Start by heading south along the coast on Jalan Kenjeran until you reach Jalan Raya Kenjeran. Turn left and continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. Look for the signage or locals to guide you towards Kedung Cowek. After crossing a small bridge, Benteng Suramadu will be visible on your right. The cycling route should take about 10-15 minutes.
Public Transportation (Becak)
If you wish to use a becak (traditional pedicab), you can find one easily in Kenjeran. Inform the becak driver that you want to go to Benteng Suramadu in Kedung Cowek. The fare typically ranges from IDR 20,000 to IDR 30,000, depending on your starting point. The journey should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
Public Transportation (Angkot)
You can also take an angkot (shared minibus) from Kenjeran. Look for the angkot heading towards Bulak and get off at the stop closest to Kedung Cowek. From there, you can either walk or take a becak to Benteng Suramadu. The angkot fare is usually around IDR 5,000. The entire journey may take approximately 30-40 minutes, including waiting and walking time.
