From here, you will need to hire a local boat to take you to Pondok Tanggui, which is approximately a 30-minute boat ride along the river.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus or minivan from Pangkalan Bun to Kumai. Buses frequently depart from the main terminal in Pangkalan Bun, and the journey takes about 30-45 minutes. Once in Kumai, you will need to head to the Sekonyer River. You can either walk or take a local motorcycle taxi (ojek) to the riverbank. At the river, you can hire a traditional wooden boat (klotok) to take you to Pondok Tanggui. The boat ride will take approximately 30 minutes, and you should negotiate the fare beforehand, typically around IDR 300,000 to 500,000 depending on the boat size.
