Car
From Ubud, start by heading northeast on Jl. Raya Ubud. Follow this road for approximately 10 km (about 25 minutes). You will come to a junction where you need to take a right turn onto Jl. Raya Bangli. Continue on this road for another 8 km until you reach the town of Bangli. Once in Bangli, follow the signs towards Penglipuran Village, which is about 5 km away. The village is located on Jl. Penglipuran. Parking is available near the entrance of the village, but you may need to pay a small fee (around IDR 2,000 - IDR 5,000) for parking.

Public Transportation
To reach Penglipuran Village from Ubud using public transportation, you can take a local Bemo (minivan) from the Ubud Central Market. Look for a Bemo heading to Bangli (usually marked with 'Bangli' on the front). The fare is approximately IDR 20,000 per person, and the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Bangli, you will need to take another Bemo or a local taxi to reach Penglipuran Village, which is about 5 km away from the Bangli Bemo terminal. The taxi fare should be around IDR 30,000 - IDR 50,000. Make sure to negotiate the fare if taking a taxi.

For a more comfortable and direct option, consider booking a private taxi or using a ride-hailing service like Grab or Gojek. From Ubud, open the app and set your destination to Penglipuran Village. The cost will vary depending on the time of day and demand, but expect to pay around IDR 150,000 - IDR 200,000. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, and you will be dropped off near the entrance of the village.
