Car
If you're driving from Ubud, start by heading north on Jl. Raya Ubud. Continue on this road for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass the Ubud Market and the Puri Saren Royal Palace. After about 1.5 km, turn left onto Jl. Petulu. Follow this road for approximately 1 kilometer, and you will reach the Petulu Heron Bird Colony Watch Point on your right. Make sure to park your car safely along the road.

Public Transportation (Bemo)
From Ubud center, you can take a local bemo (shared minibus) heading towards Petulu. Look for bemo with signs indicating Petulu or ask the driver if they go to Petulu Heron Bird Colony. The fare is typically around IDR 10,000 to 15,000. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Once you get off at Petulu, walk approximately 500 meters to the Watch Point, which is accessible by following the road signs.

Walking
For those who prefer to walk from central Ubud, start at the Ubud Market and head north on Jl. Raya Ubud for around 1.5 kilometers until you reach Jl. Petulu. Turn left onto Jl. Petulu and walk for about 1 kilometer until you see the Petulu Heron Bird Colony Watch Point on your right. This walk is approximately 2.5 kilometers in total and will take around 30-40 minutes, depending on your walking speed.
